Some Animes are much more like mystery  movies ...Secrets and Mystery led by the great story makes it usally so interesting that you can't tell where the story is heading or what will be the end !
DARKER THAN BLACK is such a mysterious and psychic anime that you will be amazed just by the first episode . 
The story follows ..
As it's been 10 years as a wall known as  "Heavens gate "at South America and " Hell's  Gate " at Tokyo appear and the turned the sky with fake star .
The world  where the sky is no longer the real sky we used to see . The sky is filled with stars which are representing the lives of humans called 'Contractors' . Every time when a new star is born ,it includes that a new contractor is going to born. Contractors are Humans with abilities they are contracted with .They make a contract for the abilities and in return have to pay the price it holds .It can be any silly thing or rather a great deal .
That's why they are Contractors.
Ex.If you have the contract of producing electricity ,You have to pay the price as Eating 10 times more than a normal human being . 
If they don't pay the price They will die like melting butter .
This ability of electricity is possessed by our protagonist Hei aka BK2O1 and also live a human life as Lee shanshan . 
Hei is Contractor .
He is searching for his lost sister and starts working for the organization called Syndicate .
Syndicate is formed human beings for secret reasons as they are now the superpower after clearing USA ,their motives are unknown and only give orders to contractors who they hire. So Oma ,who has ability to take animals body and  is trapped in cat ,Yin who is doll that helps to locate target by water ability are working alongside Hei as team.


This brings Dolls who are controlled by humans which are artificially brainwashed contractors . 
As the bane suggest , Humans gave orders to these dolls and These Dolls follow having no objection. Dolls don't have their own will nor feelings .
Due to abilities ,Contractors are hired for committing murders and bad stuff by  higher priced humans . 
Due to contractors ,Humans can no longer have  real sky and A "Gate" which is a wall has formed around the whole countries due to the origin of Contractors .
Humans are now trying to find the truth behind the Sky and Gate . They are trying to capture all the Contractors and stop the murders being in country .
Many agencies like Mi6 ,American CIA and Other secret agencies are trying to hire contractors who are cold blood and make assassins and spies to fullfil their needs such as collecting valuable objects of the gate and the information .
Once a contractor is dead ,their star from the sky ,falls .This phenomenon led humans believe that once all contractor are dead ,the real sky will return too. 
It's been 5 years that the ' Heavens Gate ' disappeared along with the 15000 km radius area.
An organization Evening Primrose is now trying to connect all the contractors and  to be free from humans .
What is the future of all of this ?
What is syndicate planning ?
Are contractors really humans ?
Why did these gates appear ? 
What is the reason for Hei sister gone missing ?

 So many more mysteries ..!!! 
 With 2 seasons of 25 episodes each ...Darker than black may be good time watch ...It takes time but it worth the watch !

NPC - Non Playable Character .  If you have ever played any open world or rather a video game.. where you see some people called bots or say people inside the game which cannot be controlled by users. These people are called NPC's. They are often seen in role playing games... Where you have to interact with them to get quest or interact with them to get some information in competing the game.  Well, I'm sure you know what NPC means now. We have seen many manwhas which are related to games and gaming systems... The Player can't level up , Return to player , God Game and many other Hunter manhwas are part of it and also many Isekai or game world animes too.  They all have main characters as Players which are given special privileges to get stronger and smarter than others. How many years old is Nobita and his Friends in Doraemon ?

Doraemon was one of the biggest and most famous cartoon show of Japan and it got a huge Fan base all around the World . During the show Nobita Nobi is probably 10-12 during the show . As he is in School and wears shorts .  Japanese Elementary Schools have Half-Sleeved Shirt and Half Pants (Shorts) as thier School Uniform for kids .This may help to Identify that Nobita is around 10 years old and in elementary school .
