But before you watch it, Here's something about the story line...
Kose Arima is the youngest boy to ever won the Pianist Champion. He was just 8 years old kid when he won it. But behind his success, there is a dark truth.. His mother Saki Arima who has been sick for years and the one who taught him Piano.... Made him work so hard and practice day and night so that he can be perfect.
Kose thought as, If he can win... His mother will be okay and smile at him.
But, His mother made it so clear that he has to Win every single time. That was a Lie.
Kose's mother beat Kose with his stick to play the piano perfectly without using his own imagination. According to his mother, He shouldn't use his imagination against the original creator. He should only play the part what was written on paper. By this way, Kose was perfectly playing and winning competitions... But he was losing himself.
As time passed, Kose grew into an amazing Piaonist who can play the songs perfectly just like the original.
The judges praised him for his technique and originality. However, the Participants and other people were jeolous of his talent... They knew about the tourture and time Kose goes through for his success. He never paid any attention to anyone. He never even thought of winning after a while.
And, One day He just Quit. He stopped playing Piano.
Today,
Kose is just a normal Middle Schooler. He goes school with his neighbour and his best friend from childhood, Tsubaki Kawabe and Ryota Watari. Tsubaki has always been a best friend with Kose and knew everything about him. Tsubaki is now the Ace of Girls Baseball team. Ryota has always been there for Kose. He is the captain of Soccer team and quite good at it. He has his ways with girls and is constantly in affairs. But, Ryota is nice guy at heart.
They knew, Kose was once a Prodigy Piaonist but now refuses to play. They want to help him but can't. Kose's father lives abroad for work so he never comes to visit kose. Hence, Kose has always been alone. He rights notes of music for Karaoke and makes money. Tsubaki knows it very well, How much Kose loved music and still is hanging over it. After his mother's death, He was practically left alone and his world was pale white and black... Just like the Piano keys. Ryota has always told Kose about love and girls... According to him, When a person falls in love, The world changes and gets colours you have never seen before. There is a sparkle in eyes and world itself smiles at you. Kose doesn't mind him a thought as Ryota has always been with girls.
One day, Tsubaki tells Kose about her new friend who happens to be Violinist. She is supposed to have a crush on their friend Ryota Watari. Kose don't wanna became the third person, but being with Tsubaki he accepts to meet her, and becomes Friend A.
Just as any gentelman, Kose arrives before everyone. Waiting for them, he sees leggings and shoes of girl hanging on a tree... He sees nearby and finds a girl with little kids... Playing music with small music items.
They were enjoying every single beat and The Girl was someone who was playing it magically.
The girl was Miyazono Kaori.
Watching her leggings and shoes in Kose's hands, Kaori thinks he is pervert trying to snatch them. But, After a little while, Other friends gather and solve their puzzle. Furious Kaori suddenly apologies to Kose and became their aquantice. Watching her cute expression... Kose thinks, She is really a girl. That the world changes around Kose and gains Colours.
Kose falls in love with her. But, it was just the beginning... She likes Watari.
She was someone who like his bestfriend, So he helds back.
Kaori has a violin competition at the same time. She takes all of them to Stadium. Kose hesitantly remembers his past self as the last time he made appearance in Stadium was, When he stopped in the middle of the performance. He never got back.
But, Kaori takes him to the hall.
Just when, Kose Arima enters the Hall... Even after two years...
Nearly everyone from the hall, Knows him.
Kose didn't want to talk to anyone and just sits on the seat.
Every Violinist perfomance was good but when Kaori Miyazono arrives on the stage. The atmosphere changes...
Her performance was so different and magestic than any other performer. She was playing the violin with so compassion and style. She was neither copying the original creator nor abandoning the original theme. But somehow, Her performance was different from the original theme.
Everyone including Kose who was known for his perfection in Piano was amazed.
Kaori takes this as a compliment as She already knew Kose Arima, The Prodigy Piaonist.
For her next performance, Her Piaonist abandons her as she was playing Violin differently than original. Kaori needs a new Paionist, So she thinks Who better than Kose Arima.
But, There is rumour about Kose. That he can't even hear his own notes and playing.
And Truthfully, The rumor is true.
Kose tells the real truth about his Trauma and how he lost his connection with piano. The death of his mother was like a curse to him. That he can't even play the Piano which was the only good thing he can do in his life.
Kaori takes the chances and wants Kose to be her partner in the next performance no matter what.. She says, She will be there for him when he feels afraid.
Kose rejects her for million times but still Kaori keeps palying the only music in Music room. Tsubaki and Kaori keep on printing the notes and pasting in on every wall and floor Kose ever sees.
But, Still Kose never accepts the proposal... On the performance day, Kose is taken to the hall and pushed to the Piaonist. All goes well, for the first half...
But, The curse activates... All the keys went mute like Kose is sinking in water and can't even hear his own breathing. As he goes deeper and deeper, He feels alone and fumbles ove rand over again. Knowing the fact that he is losing it, he stops.. again. Kaori gets disqualified...
However, When he sees Kaori, She was not angry or anything... She just smiled and said 'Lets do it again'.
This time, Kose doesn't look to the keys or the notes on the pages.. He keeps looking at Kaori and plays.
They gave the performance, The Audience can never forget. They gave the performance they can never forget. Just like that, The story of Pianist and Violinist begins...

The School life animes are really something. Do me a favour and watch it in 720p or higher... You will thank me later.
The music, ahh... There is nothing better than this. Well, you will knowledge of Piano and notes and stuff. But, I would say, Just ignore the crafty stuff and enjoy it.
With 22 episodes, This is Lie but also the truth. It is one of the best Slice of Life Anime.
