It has the prodigy kid protagonist who is blessed by magical spirits and destined to be A Great Magician. For the best part... It's not an Isekai !!
Zhanggong Wei is the only child of his mother and father. He lives on the mainland of Tianyu. Tianyu is no less than a Fantasy World where Magic, Martial Arts, Devils, Demons and Gods exist.
The world of Tianyu is divided into three parts :
Dalu: Peaceful nation
Xiuda Kingdom: Knights Nation
Aixia Kingdom: Magic Kingdom
The Three nations are united due to their common enemy, The Demon Clan and Beast Clan of the East. Beast Clan is pure strength and can't use magic. But they have the ability which gives them resistance to magic attacks. Demon clan are formidable enemies as they use anti-magic and practice black magic. Since The Allied nations are strong and peaceful for over 100 years, War is not seen by the last two generations.
Zhanggong Wei lives in the Aixia Kingdom, which is pretty popular for its Magic Education since everyone is given a choice to choose their magic element.
On the first day of his school, Zhanggong chooses to learn Light magic as Major and Spatial Magic as minor.
Since, Light magic is only used for healing, defence and fighting against demon clans. Since It has no major use in daily life... It's pretty much useless as there is no war and everyone lives in harmony. The number of light magic users is very few.
But Surprisingly, Zhanggong Wei is the only student to choose Light Magic as a major subject in the school. The Shen Ke basic magic School has to organise a special teacher for him.
Xiyu Xiu an advanced magician is appointed as a tutor for Zhanggong Wei. Xiyu Xiu is a powerful light mage and even more handsome than Zhanggong. Xiyu Xiu immediately realised the potential and ability of Wei to learn magic. He believes Zhanggong is blessed by Light spirits and can be called Chosen "Child of Light".
Zhanggong is quick and intelligent. He can learn magic faster than anyone Xiyu Xiu has taught. He can understand magic more easily as magic itself is trying to teach Zhanggong.
Xiyu wants to make Zhanggong the best light magician.
After 3 years of hard work and training, It was time for Zhanggong to go to Magic Academy. But, His master has better ideas. Xiyu Xiu wants Zhanggong to get admission into Royal Magic Academy.
The Royal Magic Academy is the special magic academy for the Royals and Nobles. Since Our Hero is a commoner, He is not very confident in himself. Xiyu Xiu has a friend who helps him recommend Zhanggong for the royal academy. ( It's Xiyu Xiu himself of course)
At the Royal Magic Academy, Zhanggong has to give entrance exams to get into Academy. He easily passes all tests with full marks and even placed First, By certain conditions.
Zhanggong meets Ma Ke (Mark), A fire magician and strong as himself. They immediately become friends and brothers.
Being so powerful, Zhonggong even gets lucky with his Beast Egg. The Egg gets hatched into a Growth Class - Golden Snake Beast. The Snake beast is unknown species and has tremendous growth potential than any other Soul Beast.
Zhonggong Wei names his beast Xiaojin (Goldie). But, Due to certain misfortunes, Zhonggong has to share his lifeforce with Goldy to save his life. Goldy evolved into Giant Gold Scaled Serpent with Golden Horns and Helps Zhonggong break his Seal.
LuoLin Di takes Zhonggong as his Disciple. Luolin Di is Dean and President of Royal Magic Academy and also one of the elder Great magicians. He teaches him more mystical skills than Xiyu Xiu. Luolin Di knows the True identity of Goldy.
Goldy is actually a Dragon and A Dragon God's Son at that. Luolin Di gives the Light God's Robe as a gift to Zhonggong Wei as he sees immense potential in him.
Zhonggong Wei can reach the heights of magic that were never seen before. After 5 years of Studying and Training under Luolin Di, Zhonggong finally reaches his limit at school.
Luolin Di, Tells him to go on an Adventure and find his true self outside the Academy to remove his barrier and Find the Sacred Sword of the Gods of Creations.
Zhanggong sets on his journey...
He meets his future wife, Future Freinds and new beings.
But, The World is not that great for everyone, Demon Clans and Beast Clans are advancing into Human territories. Black Magicians are infiltrating into Aixia and other Tianyu Regions. Something big is going to place in Tianyu World which will repeat the History!

The Story is super fast that sometimes it feels like you skipped too many chapters... But it's good to be fast rather than slow.
The animations of characters are cute just like Genshin Impact characters. It makes me feel like watching gameplay.
While it does seems like Kid specific Manhwa but if you really are an otaku, You can enjoy it anyway. You will often see some highly raged scenes too.
With about 50+ chapters, Child of Light is one the best Academy based Manhwa. You will love it. Join the fun.
