I know one thing if you don't know SAO .. You are probably the new member of  our Anime Family.. Yeah.. A well known And having One of the biggest fan base in anime world , Sword art Online is a best anime to watch also  Popularly Known as SAO.
This Anime shows you how a Future VR games can be played like you won't imagine it today .

A New VR Game launches in 2025 naming Sword art Online which connects your neural system and Takes your mind into game with Device Called NerveGear .An Online MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game ) Game with 100 flours and Dungeons. 
10000 Players join the game on the first Go. But As the Player wants to log out they couldn't do it. There are now stuck in the game designed by Akhihiko Kayaba The one who designed Game and The NerveGear !
 He tolds the players in SAO that this is no longer a game and if they die here they die in real life ...If they want to log out they have to complete the game i.e the 100 floors .
But The irony is, to complete only 1st floor it took 3 months .
Because Kirito is skilled Player ..He gets Leveled up quickly and every where he goes the battles get hard as his level increases . He can't help other players by playing together as the monsters will have the same level as him. Kirito gets worst experiences because of his own strength and levels. Kirito decides to go on a solo maison to conquer the 100 floors. He don't want to be the reason for someones death .
A girl named Asuna joins in this journey with Kirito and falls in love with him. Kirito knowing Asuna's weakness and strength let's Asuna to be his partner . 
Players killing Players for gaining strength and levels are no exception in SAO. This is called PKing .
A group called Laughing Coffin goes on PKing all the Low level players for amusement. 
Will they be able to complete the game, will they be able to make their way out alive ? 
How many of them will really survive ? 
It has Well designed and described Characters .
 If you are fan of Quests, Dungeons , Guilds and Games this Anime was certainly made for you. The Fight scenes and Boss fights on each floors are  remarkable as the animation becomes more and more fabulous ! You will certainly be able to connect the feeling of being stuck and loneliness and also Love and friendship as they Journey of our protagonist moves on ..
The anime has most promising episodes of 24 episodes in each sessions 4 seasons until now .
