That was the most hilarious act I have ever seen in any Korean Drama. You might have heard this over 'reels' and many 'shorts' videos.... I can't get enough of it no matter, how many times I watch it..
We have all seen KDramas portraying romance and friendship on the most realistic levels. I mean they never show much of the intimate scenes but that little moments like hugs and cuddles make us believe in love and just fly over the moon.
Ahhh..
Business Proposal is an extraordinary yet a passive normal romantic drama.
A story of a Businessman falling in love with his first blind date women who happens to be his Employee. Sounds very normal for me...
Well, The most exciting part of this drama is that it has so little breaking out points.... It will keep you cemented on your seat and secretly cheering at all time.
Shin Hari, a beautiful young woman who works as a researcher in Go Food company. The Company has a great reputation and market all over the country which makes great Food dishes and new recipes for snacks and fast food.
Shin Hari is part of Team 1 of Go Food. Her Family has a Chicken Shop which is flooded with customers (literally every mc girl has chicken shop) but not enough to help her pay her debt. Due to her financial conditions, She has to rely on debt to educate herself and also working for long hours.
You can call Shin Hari a independent woman. And Of course, Because of All that hard work she is still single.
She has a crush on her friend Lee Min Woo, who is also a Chef and quite talented. But, He never saw Hari's loves for him. Min woo had a girl friend named Yu-ra. They often break up and Shin Hari was always the one to make them patch again. For 7 years, Yu ra went abroad for studies... which left Shin Hari a hope for love...But she never made her move. It was her birthday this time and
She wanted to help Lee Min-Woo get recognized for his work so she takes his recipes to her company and gives him a surprise.
But it made her heart-break when she saw Yu-ra and Lee Min woo kissing again.
Hari was broken but she never to the extent to cry... She is always with her rich best friend Yeong Seo. They have always been best friends forever.
Yeong Seo has a dark past with her father and mother, So she always stays with Shin Hari's Family.
The Company Go Food is going into sudden change, As the chairman has appointed new President for the Company. Kang Tae-mu, The Grandson of Chairman Kang and Heir for the Company takes over. At his arrival, He suspends all those board members who had corrupted the company by taking out profits for themselves. Honesty is what he wants from each of his employee.
Kang Tae-mu has lost his parents when he was seven and had faced trauma from their deaths. He is intelligent and smart individual who has graduated from Harvard's University with perfect score.
But, Kang Tae-mu is single as well.
His Grandfather is always worried for himself, If he will ever get to see his great grandsons. He wants Kang Tae-mu to live his life with a lovely family rather than alone. Chariman Kang, arranged 20 Blind Dates for his grandson. After a quarrel, Kang Tae-mu is forced to go on blind date.
On the other side, Yeong Seo also had her father sent her to go on a Blind Date. It was third time, He had done it for Yeong Seo. But, Yeong Seo always had a plan.
The night before the date, Shin Hari accidentally breaks a name board of neighborhood and has to pay 800000 won for damages.
She is broke as hell and caught up in this mess. She opens up her sad life to her friend Yeong Seo. Yeong Seo promised to pay her 800000 on one condition. Shin Hari has to become her proxy and Go on a Blind Date. It was nothing new for Shin Hari... On every Blind Date of Yeong Seo, She was the one to fool and scare the Men.
This time it was her necessity to get that 800000.
She accepts an goes on a date, planning to make herself look bad and somehow make a bad impression.
But, Things becomes pretty escalated and goes in wrong directions. The man who happens to her blind date was her New Boss and President of Go Food, Kang Tae-mu. Despite everything she did, Kang Tae-mu just accepts to marry her.
Shin Hari calls him 'archaeopteryx' a breed of dinosaur which resembles Kang Tae Mu. (thats very important for their relationship)
Kang Tae-mu gets very intrigued and interested in her comment and makes plans to prove himself worthy.
On the other side, Yeong Seo falls in love with a young man in a shopping mall. The man was none other than Cha Seong, Secretary of Kang Tae-mu and his adopted brother.
The series gets more and more interesting as Shin Hari becomes Shin Geum-hi and fakes herlself and helps Kang Tae-mu to persuade his grandfather. Kang tae mu doesn't want to go on needless blind dates and waste his precious time. So he, asks Shin Geum-hi for help.
Shin Hari working as Hari of research Team 1 and also helping Kang tae-mu as Geum-hi makes her life complex and busy with all the wheels turning unknowingly. She has to hide her face whenever she sees familiar faces so that she won't get recognised as Shin Geum-hi and Shin Hari.
Yeong-Seo knowing all the commotion going on, feels sorry for Shin Hari and helps her with all means possible.
When, The Shin Geum-hi was made up identity... The name was same as the name from the currently popular TV series which was experiencing the same situations as the real life Shin Geum-Hi.
It's kinda ironic how the series is directed and written. Hats off to them.

Will he find the truth ?
Will Shin Hari ever find her true love?
The series has lots of funny, romantic and emotional scenes which will make you happy and sad at some point. But, Still you will feel nice and enjoy the series as it moves forward.
I won't say it has the best story line but it is still better from the most.
With 16 episodes, Business Proposal is a great romance, comedy kdrama. You will love it.
